PA Steelhead Fish Report (12-04,05-2009)

12-04, and 05-2009:  These two days are memorable for two reasons:  Not only were many fish caught and released, but greatest success was noted on fresh-run fish at the Legion Area this late in the fall season.  Streamer imitations especially my baby emerald shiner in white were the greatest producers.  On the afternoon of the fifth, however, during a lull in the action, Josh tried a purple SS and the rest is history.  He and his father were very happy to have had such a fruitful day after traveling from the great state of Colorado. They caught many in the 10 # class, one depicted in the Catch Reports Section under Josh’s biggest.  Needless to say and despite all the flies I carry, we ran out of purple before we ran out of daylight!
